A deepened concrete curb is positioned adjacent to asphalt concrete pavement and base rock. The curb measures six inches wide at the top with a one-half-inch radius edge, and extends down with a minimum nine-inch depth below existing grade. Two continuous number four reinforcing bars are placed at the top and bottom of the concrete section. The property line is indicated, and the assembly interfaces with existing grade on one side and a base rock layer supporting AC pavement or concrete on the other.
