A prepackaged magnesium anode is installed five feet away and connected to a ferrous metal elbow via a #10 AWG black THHN anode cable. The nonmetallic pipe and ferrous metal elbow are wrapped in eight-mil polyethylene encasement, with all buried bolts and nuts coated in bitumastic. A cable-to-pipe connection is made at the elbow typical per detail three on sheet CP-eight, and the anode is installed per detail five on sheet CP-seven. All buried bolts, nuts, bell restraints, and mechanical joint restraints are coated per general notes on sheet CP-one.
