A six inch by six inch cast-in-place concrete mow strip is embedded into undisturbed soil with a four inch depth ninety-five percent compacted base course beneath it. The mow strip sits flush with adjacent ground surfaces, extending one inch above the grass line and bordering a layer of mulch. Expansion joints are placed at thirty feet on center and control joints at ten feet on center unless otherwise noted on the plan.
