A four-inch asphaltic concrete pavement section consists of a one-and-one-half-inch layer with a one-half-inch mix and a two-and-one-half-inch layer with a three-quarter-inch mix. The wearing course sits on an eight-inch untreated aggregate base course. Below the base lies a twelve-inch zone of scarified and recompacted non-engineered fill over compacted fill or subgrade per specification 312000.
