An underground valve assembly features a main valve resting on a concrete valve support and connected to piping. A protective valve box encloses the upper stem, surrounded at the surface by a square concrete valve box pad measuring twenty-four inches square by six inches thick. A minimum clearance of three feet zero inches is maintained from the top of the pad down to the valve. Additional pad details are referenced on sheet C-33-0631.
