A sign post is anchored into a cast-in-place concrete footing with a minimum depth of two feet six inches and a width of one foot four inches. The concrete surface at the base of the tube is sloped outward to promote drainage away from the post. The sign bottom maintains a minimum clearance of five feet from the finish grade or paving, increasing to six feet eight inches minimum when positioned within a walking surface.
