Two ductile iron pipe flanges are joined face-to-face with a threaded bolt, nut, and washers passing through matching flange holes. Two number four American Wire Gauge high molecular weight polyethylene bond cables span across the flanged joint for electrical continuity. The cable ends connect to the pipe surfaces via typical cable-to-pipe connections referenced to detail three on sheet CP-eight.
