This heavy-duty pavement section consists of four and a half inches of asphalt surface course over six inches of untreated base aggregate. Below the untreated base lies thirteen inches of structural fill resting on a properly prepared subgrade per the geotechnical report. Notes direct the user to consult the geotechnical report for further asphalt and concrete paving requirements and the acceptability of native soil for structural fill.
