An exterior clean out terminates at finish grade with a brass screw type plug featuring a countersunk head. In patio or paver areas, the clean out is constructed flush with the grade of the pavement. A cast iron bend connects the top assembly to the cast iron building sewer or storm line using MG couplings and Fernco type couplers typically. The main sanitary or storm sewer line connection is anchored and encased in concrete. A note specifies to use a double clean out for sewer connections adjacent to the building per the plumbing plan.
