An aluminum angle member is connected to an aluminum channel section utilizing a quarter-inch stiffener plate. The connection is secured with three-sixteenths and quarter-inch fillet welds applied on three sides typically. A maximum one-inch dimension separates intersecting elements. Stiffener plates are welded internally to reinforce the joint assembly.
