A fifteen-inch diameter PVC drain basin, such as a Nyloplast or approved equivalent, is set within a prepared bedding course and backfill per specifications. A ductile iron frame and grate are positioned at the surface, with a heel-safe grate required in sidewalk and landscape areas and a solid cover specified on basins noted on the plans. A variable invert connects to six-to-eight-inch pipes using watertight pipe connection adapters sized per the storm drain plans. The basin sits on a minimum six-inch bedding course and requires H-10 grates and frames for fifteen-inch square covers.
