The asphalt paving section consists of four inches of asphaltic concrete over six inches of untreated base course, ten inches of previously placed granular borrow, and thirty inches of reworked native soil compacted per geotechnical specifications. The concrete paving section consists of six inches of concrete reinforced with number four bars on twenty-four-inch centers, placed over six inches of untreated base course and thirty inches of reworked native soil. All subgrade and structural fill layers require compaction to a minimum of ninety-five percent of maximum dry density determined by AASHTO T-180 methods in maximum eight-inch loose lifts after removal of surface vegetation and deleterious materials.
