Manufactured silt fence fabric attaches to one and one-quarter inch by one and one-quarter inch by forty-eight inch hardwood stakes spaced at six feet on center. The fabric extends twenty-six inches above the existing grade and buries twenty-two inches deep into the ground. Excavated material backfills over the buried portion of the fabric to secure it in place. The fence sits a minimum of ten feet from the toe of the slope.
