An underground sewer pipe rests within a trench on a three-quarter-inch crushed rock bedding material per SSPWC table 200-1.2.1(A) with mechanical compaction per SSPWC 306-12. The pipe zone requires a minimum six inches of clearance on each side and beneath the barrel, with an additional twelve inches minimum bedding above the pipe. Detectable warning tape is installed in the trench above the pipe zone per specifications. Final backfill is compacted to relative compaction requirements defined in the geotechnical report. The trench is capped with pavement sections sized per plans and adjacent paving.
