The pavement assembly sits on a six-inch Class 2 aggregate base with a minimum compaction of ninety-six percent. Below the aggregate base lies an eight-inch granular borrow layer with a minimum compaction of ninety-five percent, resting upon a prepared subgrade with a minimum compaction of ninety-five percent. The transition features a three-and-a-half-inch typical thickness at the asphalt interface and a maximum four-inch drop.
