This assembly consists of a geotextile fabric filter suspended beneath a drainage grate within a storm drain structure. The filter is secured at the grate frame, with six inches of excess fabric trimmed at the edge to prevent the filter from falling into the structure. An overflow bypass is integrated into the grate frame to allow water passage during high-flow events. A retrieval system is provided for maintenance access to the below-grate device. Filtered water exits the bottom of the fabric cone while sediment and debris are retained for removal.
