A temporary filter fabric fence installation runs along a project site boundary. The assembly consists of 2-inch by 4-inch wood posts, steel posts, or equivalent driven into existing or undisturbed soils at a maximum spacing of 6 feet, supporting a 2-inch by 2-inch 14 gauge wire fabric or equivalent standard strength fabric. A filter fabric is attached and buried in a minimum 4-inch by 4-inch trench with excavated material, with a 2:1 maximum slope backfill of native soil or 3/4-inch to 1-1/2-inch washed gravel. The fence maintains a 3-foot total height above existing grade with a 2-foot minimum fabric height and a 12-inch minimum clearance to the project site line.
