A six-inch flush concrete curb bears on a four-inch minimum Class II aggregate base with an eighteen-inch minimum depth below grade. One-half inch diameter smooth dowels eighteen inches long are embedded in the curb at all expansion joints adjacent to the paver section. The exterior grade meets the upper portion of the curb with a six-inch maximum exposure.
