An HSS or channel stair stringer anchors to a concrete slab on grade via a one-quarter-inch by three-inch by six-inch base plate secured with two one-half-inch diameter Titen HD anchors having a two-point-three-five-inch embedment. A one-quarter-inch closure plate is welded to the assembly with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld, and welds are ground smooth where indicated. The stair stringer is positioned eleven and one-half inches from the edge with a four-inch typical dimension.
