A gusset plate connects diagonal structural steel bracing members to a horizontal structural steel beam. The gusset plate features half-inch thick stiffeners on both sides and is bolted to the brace members. Welds secure the gusset plate to the beam flange with specific sizing parameters indicated for the z-region. A work point is located at half the actual beam depth. Additional stiffeners and weld sizes are specified per the accompanying notes.
