An aircraft-rated precast manhole connects to inlet and outlet drainage pipes on a compacted subgrade with 95% relative compaction. The precast manhole rests on a poured concrete base conforming to specification P-610, featuring tongue and groove joints and a 48-inch or 60-inch diameter size. A Neenah R-3493-A or East Jordan Iron Works 1771 frame and cover sits flush with the finished grade, surrounded by Portland cement concrete pavement and AC pavement. Manhole covers are bolted down with Grade 8 hex head bolts using anti-seize compound.
