A reinforced concrete truck dolly pad features a seven-inch thickness and a minimum one-and-a-half percent cross slope. The pad is founded on a six-inch layer of Class II aggregate base. Asphalt concrete paving transitions meet the concrete edge, held one-eighth inch above the concrete on one side and one-eighth inch below on the other. Contraction joints are installed every twelve-and-a-half feet on center perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, alongside construction joints as required.
