A cast-in-place concrete curb wall is reinforced with two number four steel rebar and set over a compacted road base. The top edge of the concrete curb is detailed with a half-inch radius rounded corner. Asphalt paving abuts one side of the curb wall with a thickness of six inches over road base, while the opposite side transitions to either finished grade or a concrete sidewalk separated by an expansion joint. The total depth of the curb section measures one foot six inches with a width of six inches.
