A three-foot wide concrete valley gutter features a central swale with an eighteen-inch half-width on each side and a nine-inch depth. The concrete slab is reinforced with six-by-six-inch W1.4 by W1/4 welded wire mesh and bears on a minimum six-inch rock base. Asphalt concrete paving is held with its edge positioned one-eighth of an inch above the concrete surface. The central swale drops one inch from the edge to the centerline to direct surface drainage.
