A six-inch diameter Schedule 40 steel pipe with a round top is embedded three feet into a concrete footing and filled entirely with concrete. The concrete footing measures one foot six inches wide and extends six inches below the bottom of the pipe, with the top surface sloped away from the bollard. An expansion joint separates the concrete footing from the adjacent concrete pavement. Yellow reflectorized paint with wide black non-reflective stripes marks the bollard as specified.
