A 12-inch Portland cement concrete curb and gutter bears on base rock and lime treatment per the geotechnical report. The concrete curb is reinforced with two number 4 bars placed with 3 inches of clear cover from the edges. The gutter pan thickness matches the adjacent asphaltic concrete and aggregate base thickness, and includes two number 4 bars placed mid-slab with 3 inches of clear cover and number 4 bars hooked over continuous bars every 24 inches. The profile features a 1-inch radius at the top front corner and a 1-half-inch radius at the top back, with scorelines placed at 10 feet on center unless otherwise noted.
