An eight-inch thick Portland cement concrete slab is reinforced with number three reinforcing bars placed at sixteen inches on center each way. The surface features a broom finish applied perpendicular to foot traffic. The concrete slab rests on a six-inch base course, an eighteen-inch subbase course, and a compacted subgrade. Construction notes specify installing contraction joints at a maximum fifteen-foot spacing and at ramps, along with expansion joints at a maximum two-hundred-foot spacing at points of tangency and ends of driveways. A medium to coarse broom finish is required.
