A cast-in-place concrete curb is set upon a six-inch compacted depth crushed surfacing top course and a prepared subgrade compacted to ninety-five percent maximum dry density. The curb is constructed from three thousand PSI minimum concrete reinforced with two continuous number four rebars with three inches of typical clearance. Dimensions specify a curb height of one foot four inches, a top width of five and one-half inches, and a base width of six and one-half inches with a one-inch radius on the top corner and a one-half-inch radius on the face corner. Contraction joints are required at ten feet on center and at all returns. Finished grade is positioned six inches typical below the top of the curb.
