A buckling-restrained braced frame column base plate and gusset plate connection. The wide-flange column is supported by a three-inch thick base plate with typical plate washers measuring six inches by six inches by one-and-one-quarter inches with standard holes. A gusset plate connects to the wide-flange beam per plan with a maximum dimension of two feet four inches. One-inch stiffener plates align with each side of the column web. Grout holes are provided typically throughout the base assembly.
