This installation detail shows an exterior cleanout assembly connected to a drainage line, featuring an eight-inch cast-iron frame and cover set within a concrete collar. The assembly includes a screw-on sewer cap, a cleanout riser pipe, and a standard forty-five-degree bend intersecting a standard forty-five-degree wye. The frame and cover size must be increased for cleanouts larger than four inches, with the cover cast with the word SEWER or STORM as applicable. The entire assembly is bedded on undisturbed earth or compacted select material, surrounded by compacted backfill, and finished with a six-inch-thick, thirty-two-inch-diameter, four-thousand-psi concrete collar in unpaved or landscaped areas.
