An extendable backwater valve connects to a horizontal drainage pipe tee with a one-inch minimum clearance shown. The upper portion reaches grade through a concrete slab or pavement section, finished with a frame and cover similar to a standard cleanout detail. The valve must be manufactured by Clean Check or an approved equal and installed per manufacturer recommendations.
