This emergency overflow spillway consists of a 20-foot wide channel lined with quarry spalls over a 12-inch minimum compacted base. The side slopes are constructed at a 3 horizontal to 1 vertical ratio. A 6-inch minimum freeboard is maintained above the emergency overflow water surface level.
