A cast-in-place concrete curb and gutter assembly bears on a rock base and scarified subgrade compacted to ninety-five percent relative density. The twelve-inch high curb features continuous number four reinforcing bars, a one-inch vertical face drop, and a one-half-inch radius at the top edge transitioning to a one-inch radius at the gutter invert. The eighteen-inch wide gutter section maintains a six-inch thickness, with asphalt concrete paving held up one-eighth of an inch above the gutter lip. Scorelines are spaced at ten feet on center unless otherwise noted, and weep holes are required on all curbs where landscaping slopes toward the curb, placed at ten feet on center or at each scoreline.
