A four-inch polyvinyl chloride domestic water service line incorporates a vertical pipe offset to maintain clearance beneath a six-inch fire hydrant lateral pipe. The domestic water line utilizes four pipe fittings to create a dip, ensuring a minimum twelve-inch vertical separation between the bottom of the fire hydrant lateral and the top of the domestic water service. The offset section maintains a minimum horizontal length of two and a half feet. Elevations are provided for the top of pipe at the entry and exit points of the offset, as well as the top and bottom of the fire hydrant lateral pipe.
