A Caltrans Type 6B retaining wall assembly features masonry construction supported by a reinforced concrete footing. The footing includes number five total five reinforcing bars and a three-inch clear cover. Vertical and horizontal reinforcement consists of @ bars, @ bars, and @ bars positioned per structural requirements. A guard railing is located behind the wall with a specified edge of traveled way, maintaining a live load surcharge at one foot zero inches clear of the guard railing. The wall height reaches a maximum of six feet zero inches, with a total maximum retained slope height of twenty-six feet zero inches. Clearances require four feet zero inches minimum for type 6A wall and six feet zero inches minimum for type 6b wall from the line of leveling to the guard railing.
