An aluminum checkered plate is set within a concrete curb, which thickens to twelve inches wide over a building footing. A six-inch curb sits adjacent to the checkered plate on one side. Handrails are anchored through the assembly, with their anchorage and support detailed per structural drawings. The edge of the building footing defines the lower boundary of the assembly.
