A continuous ten-inch diameter premanufactured straw wattle is set into a trench and staked in place for erosion and sediment control. The wattle is anchored by one-inch by one-inch wood stakes spaced at six feet on center maximum. The trench is backfilled around the wattle, which requires a minimum eight-inch embedment into the ground and projects a minimum of six inches above ground to the top of the stake.
