A six-inch by six-inch hollow structural section post connects to the support assembly using two rows of four one-quarter-inch by twenty Hilti Drill Flex screws. A one-sixteenth-inch Teflon shim is provided between the metal components to isolate dissimilar metals. The lower connection uses a one-half-inch diameter by four-inch stainless steel machine bolt with stainless steel flat head machine screws secured at each side.
