A twelve-inch thickened edge concrete pavement section features a continuous no. 4 reinforcing bar anchored near the perimeter with a 1.5-inch typical clearance. The concrete slab rests over a graded aggregate subbase and transitions in thickness over a twenty-four-inch span. Main reinforcement runs horizontally through the slab per adjoining pavement specifications.
