A service saddle is mounted onto a new or existing water line with a thirty to forty-five degree angle orientation. A ball corporation stop connects to the service saddle via a compression coupling. The pipe lateral extends from the corporation stop through an eight-mil polywrap, which is specified for ductile iron pipe and copper lateral combinations. Fitting adapters and an adapter connect the lateral to a gate valve with a cast iron valve box. A ball stop is installed along the lateral line preceding the valve assembly.
