An existing apron concrete pavement section rests on multiple subbase layers. The top layer consists of seventeen to eighteen inches of Portland cement concrete with intermittent reinforcement whose extent is unknown. Below the concrete pavement sits a layer of silty sand, followed by a layer of clay and sand with gravel. The entire assembly bears on a prepared subgrade.
