A one-quarter-inch bent plate forms the edge of the metal deck assembly, anchored with a continuous number four rebar. The main rebar is bent 180 degrees around a number four bar positioned inside the edge form. Additional number four reinforcing bars are placed at twelve-inch spacing with a two-foot minimum extension. The concrete deck bears on a structural steel framing member.
