A preformed compression sealant is installed within a sawcut joint in a concrete pavement surface. The joint features an initial sawcut one-eighth inch wide extending one and a half inches minimum in depth, topped by a wider joint reservoir measuring one-half inch minimum to five-eighths inch maximum. The preformed compression sealant is installed with a one-component elastomeric joint seal lubricant conforming to specification section thirty-two thirteen seventy-three point nineteen. Sawcut width dimensions vary according to pavement temperatures per specification requirements. Depth and width of the joint reservoir are coordinated with the sealant manufacturer's recommendations.
