A twelve-inch diameter PVC drain basin is topped with a ductile iron frame and grate, requiring heel-safe grates in sidewalk and landscape areas and solid covers where noted on plans. Watertight pipe connection adapters are provided in size and number per the storm drain plans, with variable horizontal spacing angles detailed in the accompanying table. The basin sits on a bedding course backfill per specifications with a variable invert per storm drain plans and a six-inch minimum clearance.
