An exterior cleanout is set within a ten-inch thick concrete slab featuring two reinforcing number four bars and a half-inch expansion joint. The surrounding concrete is sloped to drain away from the opening. A cast iron ring and tamper-proof cover enclose the top, with the perimeter space sealed using joint sealant. A brass screw-type plug with a countersunk head closes the ductile iron soil pipe below. The piping connects through a long-radius ductile iron bend to a storm drainage ductile iron wye with a knockout plug at the end of the line, encased in concrete.
