An area drain assembly utilizes a Christy V1 drain body with a V1-71C cast iron grate set to a rim elevation where shown on plans. The drain body connects to a four-inch PVC SDR 35 outlet pipe secured with grout. In the in-line configuration, the outlet pipe ties into a PVC wye fitting with a forty-five-degree bend fitting connected to a four, six, or eight-inch PVC SDR 35 main line with a specified invert elevation. In the end-of-line configuration, the outlet pipe connects via a four-inch PVC SDR 35 ninety-degree long ell fitting to a four, six, or eight-inch PVC SDR 35 main line requiring an eighteen-inch minimum depth.
