A raised concrete crosswalk section is flanked by twenty-four-inch curb and gutter assemblies with half-inch typical expansion joints. The crosswalk rests on a six-inch Utah Department of Transportation specification one-point-five untreated base with a minimum compaction of ninety-five percent over a prepared subgrade. Reinforcement consists of number four epoxy-coated deformed bars at sixteen inches on center. The elevated section features ten-percent slope down transitions on both sides with an eighteen-inch width and a nine-inch sub-base thickness.
