A six-inch wide by six-inch high concrete curb with a half-inch radius edge sits atop a nine-inch wide by six-inch thick aggregate base course. Two number four reinforcing bars are placed longitudinally and equally spaced within the curb, maintaining a three-inch minimum clearance. The curb top aligns flush with adjacent concrete areas while sitting one inch above the finish grade of landscape areas. The adjacent pavement section transitions into the side of the curb over an aggregate base course.
