A bio-retention planter assembly incorporates an eighteen-inch biotreatment soil mix complying with technical specifications over a twelve to fifteen-inch layer of Class II permeable rock. Drainage is managed via a six-inch PVC riser with a twelve-inch atrium grate and low profile adapter, alongside a stormwater bubble-up structure connected to an inlet pipe. A four-inch perforated subdrain slopes at a minimum of zero point five percent toward a six-inch stormwater outlet pipe. Waterproofing is applied between the planter wall and the adjacent building structure, with a minimum twelve-inch wide band of cobble surrounding overflow inlets.
