An 8-inch Portland cement concrete Class A curb is reinforced with continuous number 4 steel reinforcing bars placed 3 inches from the top and bottom. The curb bears against an asphalt concrete paving section overlying base rock and scarified and recompacted subgrade per the geotechnical report. Scorelines are spaced at 10 feet on center unless otherwise noted. Weepholes are required on all curbs and curb and gutters where landscaping slopes toward the curb, placed at 10 feet on center or at each scoreline.
